Last week marked the second anniversary of the worldwide launch of Microsoft Teams.

Over this period, and as stated in a recent blog post, Teams has emerged as the platform for workplace communications, collaboration and workflow efficiency.

To mark it’s second birthday, Microsoft have released updated statistics on Teams usage.

As shown below, more than 500,000 organisations worldwide currently use Teams to collaborate across locations, time zones and languages, including 91 of the Fortune 100. It is currently available in 181 markets and 44 languages. There are 150 organisations with more than 10,000 active users.

At the recent Enterprise Connect event in Orlando, Teams won the Best in Show Award for the second year in a row in recognition of its vision for making communication and collaboration easier for the entire workforce, including those on the frontline.

Recently announced new capabilities will make Teams even more inclusive, effective, and secure. These cover:

  • Customised backgrounds
  • Content cameras and intelligent capture
  • Microsoft Whiteboard in Teams meetings
  • Live captions & subtitles
  • Secure private channels
  • Information barriers
  • Data Loss Prevention (DLP) in chats and conversations
  • Live events in Microsoft 365

Based on the above, and the ten latest Teams integrations for working smarter listed on our previous post – including integrations for customer feedback, employee polls, workflow and project management, automation, creative and collaborative idea sharing and others – Microsoft Teams has emerged as the secure hub for collaborative working.

Fully integrated with all Office 365 applications, Teams provides all the tools you need for efficient and effective workflow.
