Microsoft Dynamics 365 is a cloud-based business applications platform. It combines components of customer relationship management (CRM) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) along with other productivity applications and artificial intelligence tools. There are several services under the Dynamics 365 umbrella and in this article, we’ll be focussing on Dynamics 365 Finance. We aim to give you an overview as well as the licensing options for your business.
About Dynamics 365 Finance
The Finance application enables medium-sized organisations and enterprises to monitor the performance of global financial operations in real time and predict future outcomes. It allows you to manage your accounts, expenditure, profits, produce monthly and annual accounts and automate finance workflows. Finance provides deep data and process integrations across Dynamics 365, Office 365, and partner applications to offer a centralised source of information that enables faster, more data-driven decisions to drive growth.
License options for Dynamics 365 Finance
Dynamics 365 offers great value by providing users with the ability to subscribe to only the applications they will use. Users can mix and match between both Customer Engagement applications and Unified Operations applications. Finance is one of the Dynamics 365 products that has a more streamlined pricing structure. Note that Dynamics 365 Finance has a minimum purchase requirement of 20 user licenses.
To license the core Dynamics 365 business applications customers must purchase Base and Attach licenses for their users. This Base and Attach model is in place so users can save money on licenses. Each user must be assigned a Base license for an application and then be assigned Attach licenses for additional apps per user. If you were to opt for Finance as your Base license, the following licenses would qualify for a discount: Commerce, Customer Service Enterprise, Customer Service Professional, Field Service, Human Resources, Project Operations Sales Enterprise, Sales Professional and Supply Chain Management.
Base licenses | First Dynamics 365 app | Subsequent qualifying Dynamics 365 app |
---|---|---|
Finance | £147.90 per user/month | £24.70 per user/month |
