Current Vacancy: Business Development Manager – England

Bridgeall are currently looking for a Business Development Manager to carry out all necessary activities to win new IT services business from new clients in England (South of York).

Other Notes

This is a new business sales position and relates to delivering new business from new sales accounts. Account management of existing accounts is not required although you will account manage customers you develop.

Essential Job Functions
  •  Identify sales opportunities for application development services and IT managed services
  • Accurately assess customer requirements to identify opportunities
  • Develop and deliver proposals (supported by a Solution Architect and Project Manager)
  • Secure the contract and purchase order
  • Generate own leads
  • Develop relationships with potential new customers in person, via telephone and email
  • Ability to cold call customers if appropriate to generate new business
  • Build a strong and growing sales pipeline
  • Develop and nurture commercial partnerships with partner organisations (specifically Microsoft)
  • Create new business development channels as appropriate
  • Attend networking events to support business development goals
  • Bid Management –Write parts of tender responses and coordinate other contributors
  • Contribute to the marketing and sales strategy
  • Accurate weekly recording of all sales activity in company CRM system
  • Accurate forecasting of sales and revenue
  • Feedback and share market and customer intelligence to the company’s management team
  • Reporting to the Managing Director
General Requirements
  • Minimum of 10 years of selling software solutions and software development services
  • Proven success at exceeding sales targets
  • Ideally degree level educated
  • Territory will be England from York down – must be based within reach of major cities and have the ability to travel
  • A proven self-starter and able to work effectively on own initiative
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
  • Excellent presentation and written communication skills
  • Personally motivated and driven to develop own knowledge and skills
  • Effective and proven negotiator
