Tenacity, Innovation and Staff Development sees leading Scottish IT firm move to prestigous city centre location.

A leading Scottish independent IT services firm has moved into one of Glasgow’s most prestigious city centre offices – highlighting tenacity, innovation and staff development as key to its ongoing success.

Bridgeall, which designs, develops and supports software solutions for a number of public, private and third sector clients, has seen a significant increase in business over the last few years. As a result, the company has moved its 30-strong workforce from Hillington to premises in George House on George Square, one of Glasgow’s most prominent addresses.

At the official opening night held recently, Professor Sir Jim McDonald, Principal of Strathclyde University, with which the company has strong ties, congratulated the firm on its success. He spoke of the importance of linking business with education and the ongoing benefits to both through the provision of workplace learning.

Stephen Beer, Managing Director of Bridgeall, welcomed the support from Professor Sir Jim McDonald. He said: “Our business success can be attributed to a number of factors but our staff are at its heart”.

“In the last 12 months alone, we have seen our headcount increase by 43 per cent and we have invested £45,000 into training, upskilling and their ongoing development. Our links with Strathclyde University continue to offer mutually beneficial opportunities with over 50 per cent of our staff now heralding from there.

“Our approach to business is to ensure that we have the right people, with the right skills, working with the right clients – it’s not a one size fits all”.

“Our move to George Square marks a milestone in Bridgeall’s journey. We are proud of everything that has been achieved over the last twelve years and look forward to delivering our ambitious growth and development plans in the years to come.”
